Ravindra Jadeja delivered an incredible performance against Royal Challengers Bangalore, where he scored an unbeaten knock of 62 runs from just 27 balls. The Indian all-rounder smashed 37 runs off Harshal Patel’s last over to guide CSK to their fourth consecutive victory.
With the ball, he picked up three wickets in his four-over spell. He picked up the priced wickets of Glenn Maxwell and AB de Villiers. On the field, he inflicted a direct hit to dismiss Dan Christian. He was adjudged the player of the match for his sensational all-round performance.
Suresh Raina, a teammate of Ravindra Jadeja at CSK, has heaped praised on the all-rounder, and believes that a player like him needs to be in all three formats of the game. “He’s been batting really well, he’s been bowling really well, and he has taken 7 or 8 catches till now. Someone like Jadeja has to be in all three formats,” Raina said in a video posted on CSK’s social media handle.
Raina and Ravindra Jadeja have been associated with CSK since a long time. The former has been part of the squad since the inception of IPL, whereas, Jadeja joined CSK in 2011. Raina believes that Jadeja is a hard-worker and is a player, every captain wants in his squad.
“He works really hard. I would say he is one of the number one in the world. He has been amazing. I love his attitude, how he throws his body at the ball and he enjoys fielding. I think he is one person who can really change the momentum,” said Raina.
“Whoever (is) the captain in the side really wants him in the team. When things are not in your favor, one catch or one run out can change the momentum. That’s what Ravindra Jadeja has been doing,” Raina added.
