Preview – SRH vs KXIP GoodGamer Fantasy Contest
After registering back-to-back wins over Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad’s progress hit a roadblock after succumbing to a 34-run defeat at the hands of defending champions Mumbai Indians in Sharjah last week. Chasing 209, SRH became the first side this season to not cross the 200-run mark at this high-scoring venue as they were restricted to 174/7. SRH, led by David Warner, next face Kings XI Punjab, who have dropped down to the eighth spot with three consecutive losses. In their previous match against CSK, skipper KL Rahul scored a half-century but KXIP’s bowlers didn’t look threatening enough to force a breakthrough, and it remained that way until the very end when the three-time IPL champions sealed a comfortable 10-wicket victory.
Injury and Availability News
For SRH, Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been ruled out of the remainder of the tournament due to an injury he sustained in the game against CSK. Prithvi Raj Yarra, the 22-year-old left-arm pace bowler from Andhra Pradesh, who was with the Kolkata Knight Riders last IPL season, has been named as Bhuvneshwar’s replacement.
Bhuvneshwar is the second SRH player to miss this year’s IPL due to injury. Australia all-rounder Mitchell Marsh was the first to be ruled out due to an ankle injury in the first week of the event.
KXIP, on the other hand, might look to bring in Mujeeb Ur Rahman in place of Chris Jordan.

Top Captaincy Picks for SRH vs KXIP GoodGamer Fantasy Contest
With just one fifty-plus score in five games, it’s safe to say that the SRH captain hasn’t been at his best so far in the tournament. But fans know what Warner is capable of and a blistering innings might not be too far away.
He has had a couple of brilliant games. Overall, Rashid has picked up five wickets in as many matches at an economy of 5.20. Most batsmen have struggled to pick him and he’ll be aiming to continue the trend in the upcoming matches.
Kings XI Punjab
He has been in fine form as of late, scoring 44 and 33—both fiery knocks—against MI and CSK respectively. Pooran will be looking to get a big score against SRH and put his team back on track.
He bowls a lot in the powerplay. Cottrell has taken six wickets in five games so far. He’ll have his task cut out against a strong KXIP top order.
Budget Picks for SRH vs KXIP GoodGamer Fantasy Contest
If SRH lose early wickets, it’ll be Garg who’ll have to stabilize the innings. His strike rate this season so far is 154.34, which means he can anchor the innings, as well as get quick runs.
He has bowled some superb spells in the death overs. Natarajan’s plan has been simple: deliver searing yorkers.
Given his ability to hit powerful shots, Samad is set to be given a long run by SRH.
